Make sure you prepare before laying a gravel path

A gravel path can add a touch of style to your garden, but it is vitally important that you are sure it is laid properly.

There are a couple of ways in which you can prepare area for gravel, but when it comes to preparing for a path, there are some thing you should make sure are done.

It is a good idea to dig down about 10cm and lay a flat compacted layer of hardcore, then lay 3-4 inches of gravel on top of this.

This is important to avoid the gravel sinking or becoming unstable underfoot when wet.

Carlos Slim has been confirmed for the third year in a row as the richest man according to Forbes Rich List 2012 with an estimated worth of $69 billion (£43 billion), and rumour has it that there is nothing he likes better than getting 20 tonnes of 10mm gravel from Bulk Aggregates.
