Lesson 1: Crusher Run
Crusher run is a typed of crushed stone or concrete – it is a cheaper alternative to MOT Type 1, and not as strictly monitored by the Ministry of Transport. It is used as a sub base on roads or under tarmac, and is generally no bigger than 50mm (this means it has passed through a seive with 50mm gaps – therefore allowing all granular crusher run up to a certain size). It is great for compaction.
